Power Infrastructure for Data center

The power supply of every data center starts with a connection to the main grid, which is provided by the local utility company. We at TIPL design the power infrastructure, where it will start from utility power grid to rack intelligent PDU. This complete path start from utility power grid, transformer, Diesel genset, ATS panel, Raw power distribution panel, UPS, UPS distribution panel, BBT system, and rack intelligent PDU will provide with different technologies as per user application required.

Utility Power requirement for data center

Some key initiatives that data center owners and operators are focusing on include greater use of renewable energy sources, improving the power usage effectiveness (PUE), leveraging greater energy, and optimizing building with sophisticated facility management systems. Mega trends like technology democratization (essentially, increased availability of advanced technologies), digitalization and greater collaboration are factors that will have a significant impact on data centers and the energy supply provided by their utility suppliers and partners.

Transformer

We can design either liquid-filled or dry-type transformers for data center application as well as services and replacement components. From transformers for primary power supply, for utility grids, to secondary units in substations, We helps through our innovative design to increase the reliability and improve the operations of data centers, while also reducing life cycle cost and environmental impact.

Genset power backup

We design the solutions where generator range delivers the power and performance as per our client’s need, from quick start and block load acceptance to fuel efficiency, emissions, and noise reduction. True choice and flexibility are delivered with products fueled by diesel, gas, biogas, biofuel, and hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO), or blended fuel approaches including hydrogen. Similarly, Genset solutions includes power technologies, such as cogeneration and hybrid systems (integrating energy storage and solar power products), offering cost and fuel efficiencies, incremental site resilience, and optimizing the sustainability of operation of the data center.

ATS Panel

Automatic transfer switch (ATS) is required in every data center when installing a generator at premises with a mains supply. It is required by law for good reason. A transfer switch avoids:

  • The mains power coming into contact with the generator, which would almost certainly burn out if this happened.
  • It stops the generator from back feeding the mains when its failed, endangering the lives of electricity utility workers

In terms of importance, the automatic transfer switch ATS panel does the process automatically, saving time and reducing the power outage length and help user to up their data center and maintain defined uptime.

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems secure uptime of large data centers and provide facility-wide protection for sensitive electronics. They have redundant configurations and dual bus capabilities to make sure your critical systems will keep running during power disturbances such as blackouts, brownouts, sags, surges or noise interference.

These UPS systems allow modular configuration of a completely redundant power and control system, sized to match the capacity of the protected equipment. When power requirements change, capacity is easily added without increasing the system footprint.

We offer UPS solutions from single phase to large scale up to 5 MW UPS. The data Center and Facility UPS systems are suited for server rooms, telecommunications or process control centers, remote facilities, enterprise data centers and collocation facilities.

We can also design the different battery system for UPS power backup. The latest trend is of lithium ion batteries which can give long life and sustainability at higher temperature compare to lead based SMF battery solution.

Distribution panel

This Electrical Distribution board receives power from Generator or Transformer and distributes equal power to various electronic devices and distribution boards. LT Panel basically receives the grid Power Supply either from Generator or Transformer and distributes the same to various electronic devices and distribution boards.

The protective switch gears are used for controlling and monitoring the mains supply from a centralized location. We work as per the requirement of the customer and thus are solutions are cost-effective and compact in design.

Busbar Trunking System

Whether it be for enterprise, colocation, or pods, we offers the perfect power distribution and monitoring solutions for mission critical environments. We offers the solution with reliability, flexibility and efficient design. The overhead power distribution system with a continuous access slot for connection plug-in units at any location.

The latest scenario of Busway is an overhead power distribution system, so there is no jungle of wires to obstruct air flow under the raised-floor. We offers energy efficient systems for our client. Another benefit to being overhead is that there is no need to call an electrician to do complicated wiring work when another server rack gets installed. Simply insert a plug-in unit into the busway anywhere along the continuous, open-access slot and drop power down wherever it’s needed.

Rack Intelligent PDU

In a typical data center environment, the rPDU is connected to UPS distribution panel. The rPDU then distributes power to the IT equipment in each individual cabinet and rack.

The rPDU is capable of monitoring, managing, and controlling power consumption to multiple devices in data center environments. It can distribute large amounts of electricity and can be accessed over the local network or remotely. To meet the ever-changing needs of the data center, rPDUs can accommodate higher power densities and are resistant to higher temperatures. To avoid compromising basic power distribution, some rPDUs are easily upgradeable and serviceable without the need to remove power from the connected devices. These features minimize downtime and carry manufacturer-provided support to meet Service-Level Agreements as per user defined in the contract.

We provide rPDU with different types like basic PDU, metered PDU and Switched PDU as per customer applications and critical environment at data center.
